I have noticed that Branson totally revamped their hood latch mechanism about 2 years ago, right after I bought mine. Mine oddly went way out of adjustment and wouldn't latch anymore, and I had to take it off and modify it appreciably to make it work. That's probably why they re-designed it. I have never seen one where you have to tip the brush guard forward to open the hood.

Interesting, I must do so with my 2019 Mahindra eMax 22, both are made by TYM, this some commonality in design. My mechanism works fine so far.....I guess time will tell.

You have to with the BX and a few others as well, it's not all the uncommon. The 2510 I bought has a latch lower right side if the hood, had a really tight seal around it so you have to close it with a little force to get it to latch fully. It seemed pretty sturdy to me.

I will try to open the hood without folding the brush guard when I get home Friday. The latch for the brush guard is sturdy.

I don't know if someone put the wrong split pin in the main pin or what. But that was way to small to support the pressure of the spring.

I am glad it broke when it did or I would have lost the pin, spring and washer. I will figure out a better solution.

Any idea what size grease fitting is in the loader boom cylinder pin? Decided to grease the loader today and one is missing.

BL150 loader.

I thought mine were 8mm but I'm not anywhere near my tractor right now so can't check for sure until next weekend.

No problem. Thanks. I will just take one of the other ones out and try to match it up. If that is the worst issue I have, I will be happy!

I broke one on the 6530 and found the threads to be peculiar to the zerks I had in my storage box. HF has Metric and SAE zerk kits for around 10 bucks apiece...pretty much service any equipment you may have. Branson, being Korean made, will need the Metric obviously.

Your idea is right on and if you are in a tight, just move around what you have left and cover any hole where one was removed with a blob of grease. BTDT

Thanks Mark. BigTex came through again. I stopped by today on the way to the metroplex and they found one for me. But in case anyone else is looking, they are 1/4-28 threads.

Branson only sells the fittings with the pin. They were going to warranty the pin for me and I thought that would be silly. They finally found one laying loose in the shop.

Amazingly, I was only missing one grease fitting as all the upper ones on both sides of the loader were about to come out. These use a 7mm socket. The lower are 8mm heads and were tight. Apparently, whoever's job it is to put the fittings in the pins does not have a 7mm socket.

My new tractor is not clean anymore! But, I really enjoyed getting some work out of it! We had just enough dry days to let me do some mowing in an area I use the shredder.

A couple of observations.

1. Really need to get a little bigger BushHog. Mine is a 4ft and no work for the tractor. A 6ft would be great. On the list of things to buy.

2. I need to figure out a way to put a position stop on the 3pt lift when using a shredder. The cab version just has numbers to go by and it is difficult to get the height the same when you have to raise it for whatever reason.

3. I could mow in dress clothes if I wanted! It was so nice not to be filthy after mowing that area like I normally get! That was not even the reason I got a cab but a real benefit!

4. I have to watch turning around to back up that I don't hit the shuttle shifter with my knee. One of the issues for a taller guy. Other than that, I find the cabin quite comfortable.

5. Tilt steering is very nice! Never thought about that on a tractor as a benefit. It definitely is!

Overall, extremely happy with my purchase! :cool2:
