Black Friday!! What did you buy today ?

I bought a cab for the tractor today! Up North (North of Florida that is) we get pretty chilly during the winter months. Boy! Am I anxious to try the cab out. It's insulated with thinsulate so the walls take up little space. Still plenty of room for my feet. Waterproof...... I'm a happy camper!

I bought 3 tickets to the circus for me, my wife and grandson. $16 each for general admission at the door, very few acts compared to what they used to have, $3 small popcorn, $3 small cokes, no beer.

My three year old grandson loved it, it was worth it!

I have never gone shopping on Black Friday; afraid I'd get run over by the stampede of women shopping for bargains. And it would take a real bargain for me to stand in line very long.

But this year I didn't have to worry about it anyway. I had a sore throat start Monday evening, got worse that night, went to the doctor Tuesday, got a prescription for it, but it's continued to get worse. I think it's just a head cold, but as bad a one as I ever had and certainly worse than I can remember in many years. Everyone said I sounded bad yesterday, but I didn't lose my voice until about the time they were all leaving yesterday evening. So I've done nothing but nap since about 4 p.m. yesterday; can't sleep more than an hour without waking up to blow my nose again, and back and forth all night and all day between the bed and my recliner. Coughing even hurts my ribs now. However, I guess I can't really complain because I'm not in any serious pain; just major discomfort.

Wanted to get a 4 GB USB memory stick for my son. Went to Staples that had one for $25 after rebate. The line was about 500' long.
Had a item I needed to return to Home Depot. So I went there instead. Returned the item, Found a set of 3 LED flashlights and mutil purpose screwdriver for $5 each. Bought a item to replace returned unit. Paid for the items. When I walked out of Home Depot the line at Stapes had only moved about 10 feet. More people getting in line as it moved forward.
Came home, sat down at computer and purchase the same item on Amazon for $1 less with no shipping cost. Had to buy another item to get free shipping. But it was another thing i had on list to buy.
Wife had a list of items that she wanted to buy. Looked them up on internet and purchased them for same price in flyer's and no shipping.
Looks like it will be the internet for shopping for us even more in the future.

For many many years, I was the same way. When I went into any store, I was there for a specific purpose, took care of that, and left. But now that I have a lot of spare time; much more time than money anyway, I sometimes wander around the tool section of Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. just to get out and go for a walk.

Of course my wife and I still do not shop together because I get tired of standing around waiting on her. I will occasionally wait in the car for her, or I will go to the mall with her since they have places I can sit and watch the people wandering around while she's in a store.
