No, but don't I wish.
I'd been making plans for about a year now to go to the IBMA show in Louisville next year. Now they're moving it to Nashville. I won't go to Nashville. I hope Bluegrass doesn't start down the Country Music road to POP music.

GRAND OLE OPRY CHANGING HOMES
Gaylord Entertainment (WSM) continues to chip away at what is left of the rock of real country music, this time not renewing the television agreement with CMT to air the hour-long Grand Ole Opry Live. The final broadcast of Grand Ole Opry Live will air on September 27. Great American Country, a country cable channel, will resume the broadcast October 4.
Sad news.
I guess CMT won't have me to worry about watching their shows anymore.

Before you know it CMT will start airing the Dukes of Hazzard and Dallas reruns like TNN did a few years ago.
I've done given up on country radio owned by the big company around here. The AM station where my wife is from still plays the old stuff. Of course, the morning guy is also the owner of the station! They don't do that anymore around here!

When is Bean Blossoms festival?
Have been several times, Course I am less than an hour away.
It really is good. Not only the stage acts,but going around to all the campsites listening. I usually enjoy that more than anything.

I didn't realize they have so many now.
I used to drag race lots next door to the camp area.
My friend Lester Bentley (W M Bentley's son)used to hang out there quite a bit, that has been a while back.
Might have to venture over there at the end of the month.

The Dixie Chicks latest album, home is a FANTASTIC album, and it's 100% bluegrass. They're the best "new" artists in country music.
I find it hard to believe that they're going to rock and roll, not that there's anything wrong with that, but they're fantastic bluegrass artists!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
