Buying Advice Bobcat Toolcat- Is it the right tractor for my Facility

A Toolcat will do all the things you mentioned. They are very popular with commercial snow removers.

The Toolcat costs more because it is commercial quality not home owner quality. You are getting an air tight cab, front and rear independent suspension, four wheel steering, four wheel drive, crab steer and a passenger seat that you can't get on the other machines mentioned.

For mowing get the 5610 model, no overheating issues with grass and dust clogging the radiator screen..

No problem hauling a trash trailer, just don't try this at home! :D

The trailer is 1,000 pounds heavier than the 4,000 pound tow rating.

I think that's going down the road, really, and they're fairly conservative numbers. My L3650 was rated for 5,500 lbs... and I routinely moved my 14,000 boat + trailer with it as it was MUCH easier to maneuver around the yard. I've also moved the dump trailer which was about 10-11k loaded many times.

Pulled the stuff a few times with the NX, and it's rated for 9400 lbs or so. No problem at all. I love hitching up trailers with the 3 point and moving them without ever getting out of the cab!

I have 2 baseball fields plus smaller areas in front of buildings

I have two 100 car parking lots

in the last 3 years I spent over $100,000 on contracted snow removal and landscaping. I want to do it in house with the correct equipment but don't want to over do it.

For baseball, softball and soccer field along with some irregular areas I use a zero turn 60" exemark. Previously used scag. Both are good mowers. In addition you will need string trimmer and blower. Depending on your layout you may need push mower.
Prior to zero turn used rear finish mower on small tractor. Zero turn cut better and quicker
Use utx for trash and moving trailers. Also use it for field maintenance. Can get blade for clearing sidewalks
For snow removable in parking lots you can use CUT with blower.
With multiple machines, they can used in different areas at the same time

You could just get a 30 HP CUT with loader, snow blower, & a flail mower for the 3 point hitch. I don't think you want a mid mount mower as you would have to remove every year for snow removal for the ground clearance. The flail mower gives you a nice cut.

I wouldn't get a flail, I would go with a batwing turf mower (or I would get both). That will give you a 10-15' cut and will leave a nice finish cut.
Here is a batwing turf mower:

For my sports fields there are too many areas a ten foot mower would not fit. I used 72 in scag but had to be careful not to scalp some areas outside of the fields. Traded 72 for 60 to solve that problem.

Not sure on what your average snow storms are like in MD, but nothing mentioned in this thread is up to moving snow from two 100 car parking lots "here" in any reasonable amount of time.

Perhaps contract out parking lot snow removal and do the rest yourself. A decent size CUT with blower, loader, mower and a trailer can do the rest. I'd be looking at a large gang style reel mower for the grounds, pull with CUT on turf tires.

How much storage space do you have?
Clearing two 100 car parking lots can be a lot for one piece of equipment.

What did the hired company use?

The current company uses pickup truck with plow, skid steers, and a bunch of guys with shovels. I want to be more efficient with my man power.
The Ventac looks the it can take care of mowing and side walks.
In Maryland we don't typically get more than 4-6 inches once every few years we get hit with some heavy snow. Three weeks ago we got hit with 30 in, it cost me $24,000 to get the place cleared.
Whats better for the lots, a CUT or a skid steer?
should I use a blade or a pusher?

Wow, I had no idea parking lot clearing was that expensive. What does it cost to clear 6 inches of snow? I was recently in Salt Lake City. They were using a F series Kubota with a cab and power broom on the front to clear sidewalks. It worked great, but couldn't handle a parking lot of that size. I'm guessing they had a snow blower attachment for it for the heavier snows.
