I have brought a mulcher that has a KE75 engine on it and the injector pump is not working and i need to remove it for repair.
The problem is I can t seem to get it off and I notice in your thread you removed yours so was hopping you could shed some light on how you did this.
When I read the manual I down loaded it seems as easy as do the 4 bolts undone on the injector pump and pull it out.
But I can only get mine about 10mm up and it is court on something inside I,m guessing the the control arm is still attached.
I have read there is a plate on the side of the injector housing that needs the cover removed and you can disconnect throttle controller make sense but I can,t for the life of me see any such plate on mine????.
there is a plate in front of the oil pump and oil filter housing with 4 nuts holding it on and once removed there is a bearing behind it .not the plate I,m sure.
I,m hoping someone can help me find this plate which i believe I don t have this plate on my engine .
If you have a plate on your engine could you take a photo of it so I can check it against my engine.
I think and only think my engine is a stationary engine used for marine or pump use it was an Japanese import engine and maybe they are different to tractor engines but it looks exactly like your engine.
It wold help greatly if I could see one of these plates on another engine????

Here are a few pictures to look over.

What you need to do is push the throttle lever forward
toward the front of engine and rotate the pump a little
while pulling up. I haven't had mine out in a while
but If I remember the the throttle lever next to the
pump needs to be forward so lever from the governor
inside engine is in the center of the opening that the
pump mounts into so the tab on the pump clears
the engine block.

which way do you rotate the pump when pulling out.
I have tried what you said with no luck.
Does yours have the cover to remove to disconnect manually the throttle arm before removing the pump which seems to be often mentioned else where on the internet???
As I can t see one on yours???

I picked up a new to me reel mower reel sharpening machine.
When I got to the sellers house I realized the machine was bigger than it looked in the pictures. here are some pictures of machine in the unload process. I've had it a little over a week now and have sharpened several mowers so far. I am going to sharpen the gang mower I have for my Iseki.

That sharpener is a neat machine ! I've got a 1954 Savage reel mower that I've done by hand which was no fun. I can't imagine doing a gang mower that way.

Here are a few pictures of one of reel mowers in the sharpening machine.
I tried mounting the mower into sharpening machine with the
wheels still on it. I put the wood rollers into a v block style mount
but I couldn't adjust everything so the reel was parallel to the
grinding wheel. I finally removed the wheels and mounted the reel
into machine with the ends of the reel shaft in a more stable v mount.
I was able to adjust everything so the reel was parallel to grinding wheel.
When I was done sharpening the reel was a perfect cylinder on
both ends without any taper from end to end. I finally finished
all three mowers and after bolting everything back together
I gave it a test mow and so far it mows better than ever.

Here are a few pictures of the Bolens stirring my compost pile.
I still chuckle when I start this tractor because it
was built back in 1978 and that's 41 years ago.
I don't know how many people owned it before me.
It was bought new here in New Jersey and that
fellow died around 20 years ago and tractor was
sold at his estate sale. I was told that the 2nd buyer
who bought it from the estate kept it for several
years until selling it to my co-worked who gave
it to me. So it's possible I am the 4th owner.
I didn't have to do much work to get it to this point.
It looks like the other owners took real good
care of it over the years. Ha Ha Ha.

I really love that your tx1300 always looks impeccable. Almost like you never use it ;)

Is that some toolbox/storage you put on the right fender? Really handy, it is something i miss on mine...

You really had a difficult case from my experiences. One of my tractors I acquired from the original owner's son (so I'll call it basically a one-owner tractor) with nothing wrong but low compression which was remedied with new rings. Everything else seems fine and I would doubt needed anything to be fixed since it was new. The rest of these tractors I've had may have had repairs over the years but most of the problems I've seen were mainly cosmetic and compression problems due to ring and cylinder wear. So I would say it isn't unusual to find these that old not needing a whole lot and living up to the tractor legacy ;)
