Boom mower

Want a boom mower to keep back trees and brush at the sides of my fields Looking for something to fit my Kubota M7040. Any suggestions?

I have wanted a similar mower, without the cost of a "store bought" price. I think that the simple way would be with a small motor attached to the mower and take smaller bites, rather than hyd's. I have a hyd. mower for a large skid steer, it works well but that's with clost to 30 gpm of flow. That's simple on a SS but get's involved on a tractor 3pt set up. That flow (I think) will get you into a large res. tank and pump. JJ?

You have pump flow of 11 GPM, so find a hyd motor to match up with your pump flow and try and get the rpm and blade length or rotor speed to get the job done.

You want a good blade tip velocity and the right amount of torque.
