Tractor
New Holland 3045/2010
I currently have a quote:

MF 1643 or Boomer 3040.
FACTORY CAB
6' FEL
6' FRONT SNOWBLOWER
7.5' HOE
5' HD ROTARY CUTTER
BX42 WALLENSTEIN CHIPPER

72 MONTH ZERO FINANCING $50,000

Do you think this is a good deal?
The New Holland dealer quoted $54,000 everything the same except for a CTV transmission. He thinks he can match the MF offer.

How much was just the tractor and loader?

I did not get a break down on just the tractor but I if I work backward:

2500 BX43 chipper

7000 woods backhoe 10000 for OEM hoe

1500 Rotary Mower

8000-10000 for Front Snow blower with hydraulic shoot rotation no hydraulics on the shoots elevation

50000-20000 approximately $30,000 if NH meets the MF price? He ball parked $54,000 total.

I think your dealer is hungry and wants you to buy him a steak and lobster dinner. . . maybe a ride to the restaurant in a limo too.;)

Actually, prices in Canada are more, especially in Canadian $$$, but this deal seems to be about $5000 more than I'd think would be normal for so much equipment on a package deal. It seems those prices are full MSRP on the add-ons. The 3040 CVT with cab at $34k seems high too. I'd bet there is $1500 worth of wiggle room on that by itself. Without the CVT, I'd expect the cabbed tractor to be under $30k, maybe $29k to $29.5k. You know the 0% interest is going to cost you something, especially if you apply it to all the attachments too.

That is cheaper than mine would have been if I added the backhoe.

the 0% interest doesnt cost you anything, and the 3040 cab is priced right at $30,000 here in central texas. when you make a package like that with the 0 interest, there is no extra cost in anything, just fyi

Thanks I am waiting to see if he will come back with another offer. I was at a John Deere Dealer this morning and the price for comparable PTO HP on a 3520 was more still, go figure. I must look like I am loaded, lol. I do want a tractor though.

I just did not realize they were that expensive. Is the cab more than a $5000 option?

The cost to the dealer might be the same for 0%/72, but nobody gives away money. The cost of that kind of financing is in the product somewhere.

Factory cab $8,000, $6,000 for a good non factory cab. Our dollar is basically at par right now but some dealers are not, lol. I am not jumping at this right away have till the end of the month to make up my mind.

You get a discount if you pay cash. Financing will cost you a couple thousand more.

Bear in mind that I have not been shopping for tractors in a long time. It just seems to me that the basic HST 3040 is nothing new except for a number on the hood and a different loader manufacturer from the TC45DAs of a few years ago. There is really no new technology to drive up the cost except perhaps that Shibaura production is winding down while NH figures out who is going to build their tractors in the future. By all means, make your best deal on your equipment and tractor. Don't let my feelings sway you without verification. A true statement would be that a tractor at $30K and 0% for 6 years is a heck of a lot better than a 6% note on $27k for 6 years. In other words, the interest is included in the price and the higher dollar deal can certainly be the best deal at 0%. That doesn't mean you can't ask for a better deal and negotiate hard. You'll find out how much your dealer wants you as a customer that way.

My limited brain power gets tapped at times but this does make sense, lol.

If it helps, i got a cab 3040 CVT with FEL, wheel weights and rear remote for $30,000. I already have the backhoe from my TC35DA trade. CVT is a little getting used to but the cab is great. $30,000 for that seemed to be good deal after calling a bunch of dealers. I'm pretty happy w the deal.

Do you have the backhoe on the 3040? I haven't seen one with the cab and backhoe and was wondering what it looks like. I assume you have to sit outside the cab to operate.

That is the way mine is going to work, sitting behind the cab. I got the New Woods Backhoe BH80-X with a mechanical thumb. The tractor requires adapter plates for the four point mounting to frame. I will get the tractor the end of the week but will be waiting for the adapter plates and hoe.

Did you get any of the quick attach for the front? I can't remember. It would be the bracket for the front blade or blower that I am talking about.

I went for a pull behind blower so that I could still used the FEL it was $4000 dollars less expensive. I was looking at the front mounted blower because I didn't want to be looking over my shoulder all the time, bad back and neck. The pull blower is not ideal for big snow but will save me some bucks and give me use of the loader if needed. The loader is on a skid steer quick attach system which allows me to drop the bucket and attach forks in a snap which I like I am even looking at fabricating a plate with assorted trailer hitches to go on the quick attach system. Hope to have the tractor by Friday but will be waiting on the Back hoe. I haven't got the tractor yet and have already got things I want to build for attachment, lol.

I was just curious because I was wondering if the front blower mount that I have would interfer with the backhoe attachment.

I was told that the mounting attachment for the front blower can be removed if required or if I was worried about getting it caught up on brush. That being said the dealer was going to sell me the front blower and the back hoe and it was not an issue for the quick attachment for the blower. So you would not have to remove your front frame attachment for your blower to attach the Backhoe.

My skid steer attachment is a different thing all together it just a way of dropping the bucket without taking of the loader arms.
