I like that idea using visegrips as jumper cables. clever idea!

These are the second version of Visegrips. The first was a set with Visegrips on all four ends that used a double nut to hold the cable lug on the adjusting screw. While they held just as well, adjusting the jaw width was a pain. With the cable lug tight on the adjusting screw the whole Visegrip had to be spun to set the jaw width. On the more recent set, one of the rivets was removed so the lug could be fastened via a through bolt. That left the adjusting screw unmolested.

Trailblazer and winches all have 350A Anderson style plugs permanently connected. I made up a 25' jumper with Anderson plugs on each end. Then the last item was a short 5' jumper with an Anderson plug on one end and Visegrips on the other.

I have had success by putting another Battery of the same voltage in Parallel and charging both at once. Seems to get the process started.
You connect to the Starter post that has a battery cable from Solenoid to boost. + side.
Be sure it is out of gear. Some older ones will take off!
$1,400 for a Battery???
