I picked this 2 year old trailer off of CL for $1950. Hauls 3 round bales that dump individually. I am adding a spare tire bracket and retracting 4" straps next week.

Thats nice ... I've thought about them myself, just couldn't see only hauling 3 or so bales for the money.

thats a nice looking hay hauler.we bought a new 4 bale hauler here a few months ago for $2075 delivered.

ditto that... my 16' car hauler will handle 3 and i can roll them off the back 1 at a time.

if it maybee held 6 or even 8-10 ie..longer and a lil wider.. it might be the ticket.. :)

does look nice though.. and for someone with only a couple animals.. looks like it will get the job done easilly.

We put 4 wrapped round silage bales on a 12x7 ft deckover... So it sounds a bit expensive to cart just 3 bales on a purpose built trailer...

I don't store round bales onsite. I get them from my hay dealer as I need them. It's fast and easy to load and unload, 5 minutes each way. I have mounted 4" straps to the frames.

The other issue is transporting them without getting stopped for an unsecured load. The counties in Texas are getting into the license and weights enforcement along with the state. A purpose built trailer seems to help prevent stops by the L&W deputies.

That looks like just the ticket for your situation. Fast and easy and if your only 5 minutes away who cares if you make more trips. It always suprises me how much trailer you can get for your money.

if I didn't store on sight I'd be spending hours a week running back and forth getting them. must be nice to have them so close.

we use our hay trailer to bring hay in to stack.
