Most of the barns we have around here have a rock/stone foundation. (No shortage of rocks on most of the farms. (On my next project, I am going to try and do something with a stone foundation).
Thanks for the tip of the tax classification. From what I have read/researched - you are correct. There are positives and negatives with the classification.
