I used to pull the thorns (hawthorns I think) from my Ag tires with an ice pick. Find em, slide the pick in next to, wiggle the pick back and forth to lever the stinkers out. Took forever and you only had to miss one to ruin a tube again. Finally stopped mowing for the widow lady and the problem went away.

sealer would be cheaper in the long run, one thorn gets past the liner and you have a flat

Rough day, loaded tractor and drove 28 miles just to be told liners and tires tire shop won't do after owner looks at tires, calls another shop to see about the foam fill ,475.00 each for rears,325.00 each for fronts, looking like sealant might have to go that route, the old string type plug just won't fix all of the holes and still won't be able to fill rears with liquid. Really stuck on this ,no easy way out. WTF. good luck to all on your projects

Your wife is probably right (ouch) new tires and stay away from your co-workers pasture or foam the tires. Any other fix may turnout to be temporary.

By the way, what did your co-worker have to say about all this?

wheels.jpg Here try these. Just kidding. I think the tire sealant I linked you to will work. Even if you use two or three times what they recommend. If you want me to, I will get you the name of where I bought mine, it wasn't from the link.

Going to try the Green Slime,TSC has the 1 gal.on sale for 10.99. The guy at the tire shop that I went to said the front tires are ruined anyway and I will have nothing to lose by trying the cheapest sealant. Plan B ,There is a pair of my size front tires on JD wheels that are new 350.00 and a 4 hrs road trip on Craigslist. Hope the sealant works. Rear tires don't see but a few thorns, time for the string type tire patch, maybe the fronts caught most of the thorns. My coworker said he was sorry about this offered me 60.00,I told him to keep his money. In my case a little stupidity went a long way, should have known better about an overgrown pasture full of #%+* Bradford Pear trees. Also in my case KUBOTA (Keep U Bunches Of Twentie$ Around) is not to blame for my situation. I am not totally worthless ,I can always serve as a bad example. Maybe get lucky tomorrow . Good luck to all on your projects.

There's a lot more folk than yourself that have poked thorns into their tire.

Cleaning up building debris, tractor was only a few hours old. 2x4 with 4 nails, right front R4 tire... used Green Slime and 12 years later, I still have to air up the tire every month. Will look forward to replacing it someday.
