Ah... taxes. I just mailed mine in today. I must say, my wife has certainly been gracious with my trailer purchase. I've been looking for months and when one came up on craigslist that hit everything I was looking for at a fantastic price I had to jump on it. For $1000, I got a 16' flatbed with short wood sides. The previous owner welded extra stake pockets and D-rings on it. The sellers friend thought he was crazy for selling it so cheap, he's got $600 worth of tires and new brakes into it. I could tell he took care of things. He meticulously put zerk fittings on the leaf spring pins. It's got four brakes and breakaway battery system. 15" wheels and upgraded load C range tires. Total dry weight is 1300#. Here in upstate NY, comparable trailers are going for $1700 used and $2500 new. I can't wait to pick it up.
