Advance Auto shows the wagner at $72 per set of 4 for the front (Part No. QC1414). Amazon has them for $37.53. Quite a bit of savings.

I was talking about rotors, with shipping buying local on rotors should be a wash.

Brake Motive has a complete kit, 4 rotors and new ceramic pads for $226 to my door.

Not to hijack your thread but I just did the rears on my 2010 Ranger with 80K (50KMiles) last weekend, used the semi metallic pads. Mines got the stupid rear disc, internal parking brake shoes, most crazy thing I've ever seen. Have to pull the axles to do the rear parking brake, cost me almost $300 for parts for the rear only....Mike

My Dodge is the same way, I ended up also putting new calipers on, about $500 total in parts.

You had to pull the axles? I have done a few of this setup, but never a Ranger, and didn't have to pull axles.

Yes, no reason to wait for parts, get them shipped to you. At the very least you should get the rotors turned. I've had mixed experience getting them turned. Sometimes the rotors are shot and can't be turned, other times they have a lot of metal left and can be turned. The kit I ordered for my sons 2004 GTO came with slotted and drilled rotors and high performance pads for about $350 for all 4 wheels.

I like the turning method if possible. Turned OEM rotors are still way better than any cheap aftermarket rotor. Otherwise buy good aftermarket rotors.

Not being expert, I wonder if it is necessary to even turn the rotors on an OE F--250....that is if they are not scored? Just put some new pads on.

Yes and no. Best way to tell if they how true or warped is to put on a brake lathe, if they are already chucked up then why not clean up the surface? A good mechanic will also score up the surface with a scotch brite or piece of emery cloth as a last step on the lathe.
