Looks like I never resolved this thread. It got delivered on the 26th of last month. I've been running it ragged since every chance I can get. It was irritating having to restart the whole break-in process, but I'm almost through with it.
Got 3 fields brushhogged, recovered an acre from the pines, smoothed out the driveway, started a logging road up behind the cut-out, tilled in a new garden space, planted 20 trees. This thing is a monster.
I re-plumbed the top-n-tilt so now it doesn't bind or leak down so much. After I finish sleeving all of the hydraulic lines, the next project is to widen the stance. The rears are at the minimum setting and it's a bit tippy.
Can confirm that the
L2501 can handle a 66" RGR tiller in our heavy rocky clay soil. Didn't even hiccup. It also works great with a 66" Box Blade dragging a shale driveway uphill. It uses every hp and bit of traction to do it. The hydraulic auger is amazing for planting trees, we're going to do a couple hundred more in the spring. It has loaded ags and isn't a speed demon, but it gets the job done. It's a great compliment to the BX.
