One of the issues I set out to solve on my 'new to me' Branson 2810 was a very leaky hydraulic quick disconnect on the front end loader (FEL). I figured it was a bad O-ring, which shouldn't be hard to change... right? If you can find a new o-ring, that is...
The first thing I realized is that the Parker Series 6600 #6603-6-6 female connector on this tractor is not sold in the US (generally) and I couldn't find one at a Branson dealer. This is because it's the BSP thread model. (The male side is the 6605-6-6 - also not generally available in the US.) But I thought I might luck out and find the O-ring (part#JT020115N0674) in stock in the US... but no. But then it dawned on me; the o-ring for the NPT (US) Parker 6601 coupler (#50001-115-0010) should be the same as the o-ring for the BSP 6603 coupler, since they are both 3/8" barrels. And I was able to find the #50001-115-0010 o-ring on-line. So I ordered four and when they arrived, I installed them. They were a perfect fit.
The tricky part when installing the o-rings is to get the o-ring behind the little nylon backer ring (part #411805, BTW). However, with a little patience, the o-ring slipped into place behind the backer ring and sealed the QD properly. No more leaks.
As a note, the o-ring's dimensions are: OD-0.9"; o-ring thickness - 0.1"; material - Nitrile
