Wow! Okay, so two different ones. The right side is the flood/spot combo and the left is the spot. I think the spot/flood does a better spread and distance. I will be swapping back the spot for another flood/spot. The side lighting with these is great, I am really happy with these, it even lit up behind the tractor! Warranty at HF is easy too.

I ended up getting the second light switched over to a combo/spot too. I think the light output was significantly better for what I was looking for. A really wide and clear view will be great. Hopefully it doesn't wake the neighbors up when I have to go out at night.

If I timed things correctly, there will be no more snow this year and I won't use the tractor in the dark for another 8 months.

I wanted to make a thread that I could consolidate all my questions, any possible mods, and my reviews on implements I use etc...

I got a 2019 2638 w/Cab and HST dropped off yesterday, had 4 hours on it. I added 2 rear spools, and will add 3rd function later on. Got the quick hitch for the 3pt but need to put it on still. I've only got about an hour of seat time on the Mahindra so far. Before this I've used my father's Cabbed 90's JD and early 2000 Kubota, the JD is mid 50hp and the Kubota is low 40's. I like the Kubota the best, but the JD certainly was the go too for bigger things or pulling someone out in the snow.

I got this to primarily load a compost spreader during growing season to build my turf, plow and blow in the winter to keep parking lots and our driveways open. I also want to get a box blade/land plane eventually as well to clean up and smooth out my trails and old logging roads. The main reason I went with Mahindra was price, dealer location and this series seems to be reliable and well made.

Right now I only have an hour on it, primarily just playing around with loader bucket and getting used to the driving modes and seeing where I fit on existing trails. With the loader on the front, the rear tires have very little traction to push up hills or small brook banks. I need to find someone local who can fill tires, and get some rear implements going to balance out the weight. The loader itself seems to run very smoothly and I have been happy with it. The only thing I am not really concerned, but wondering about is the hydraulic squealing sound when accelerating, I've never heard that on other tractors? Am I running at a wrong RPM or not doing something? Or are these tractors just a little noisey? I've also noticed reverse isn't super smooth. I'm wondering if that's a result of my weight imbalance a little bit though as well.

Anyways, any tips or suggestions would be great. I did read the manual and actually found it somewhat useful despite what people have said on here. I will admit that for anything more complex than changing fluids, I'll be searching youtube for better examples. There were a few points where it told you to look at another section for information then it wasn't there.:confused3:

Anyways, so far I'm happy, and as I get used to operation and adjust to everything I'm sure I'll be even happier. :dance1: I have a 40 foot HC shipping container coming hopefully next week for storage.

Love the 4 cyl engine it actually has more cubic inches than my 2660 and the 60 is a 3 cyl turbo would have liked a non turbo because i dont like setting there when i get thought idle the engine for 3 to 4 min according how hard i work the tractor to cool down the turbo . I think you can correct your pictures by always having the button you mash to snap the picture in the right hand , try that.

I filled my tires with rv fluid and im pretty sure it took over 40 gal per tire to fillto top of the rim . I was very impressed with how much better my traction was and stability I have right at 190 hrs on my 2017 2538 and love it. wish i had rear remotes.

You can have one from Tractorinnovations.com go watch their u tubs and the kit cost $625 i am not connected with the company except i bought one of his kits his is a easy guy to work with.

I let mine idle down, and I let it warm up most the way before I work it. Even without turbos I try to baby it as much as I can on start up/shut down.

Replaced my broken hood latch. Took about 2 minutes and works like a charm. ***To replace, getting it off was a pain in the butt and I had to cut the latch from where it grabs the hood to hold it down. Probably should have done this a year or two ago.

Will try to avoid head on crashes and being rough on it from now on. The latch on the other was basically disconnected from the release and it wouldn't let go. Part number below for folks who might have this issue. Works on a couple of their tractors.

Picked up a part today to get my tractor to register I am using the brake pedal to get started.

Does anyone know WHERE these diagrams are showing? There isn't a bigger picture and I am only halfway handy. I am guessing its towards the cab where the pedal is, but i have no clue.

In good news, my dealer got the part in quickly and said Mahindra has been getting their self together as far as parts availability in the last year or two.

Found the place this stop switch goes. It is IN the cab. I will post some photos and explainers later. Now that I know where it is, it looks to be a real clean swap. Just need a wrench and some dielectric grease.
