Needle roller and cages start on page 56 http://www.skf.com/binary/30-241905/06003_2-EN-Needle-roller-bearings_Lowres.pdf You need the inner and outer diameters plus width to get an SKF designation number, plug that number into google/ebay and see who will sell it cheapest. For that application, I wouldn't feel bad swapping in a drawn cup needle roller (page 75)

Needle Roller Bearings - Bearing Depot & Supply

This is a terrific find. Brillion is not going to make cage bearings so somewhere on the net must be a reference to a number or size needed. Likely your bearing cups are worn too much to get an accurate measurement. I would guess that the bearing Brillion uses was a common part of the 1950's-1960's and is one of the most common around. That's what I have found with their parts.

Maybe you could figure out the bearing size after you get yours apart. You could measure the bearing holders and if you could find a good bearing measure that, guestimate tolerance and then try to confirm on the net from someone who had done it before. My experience with Brillion bearings is they fail from a lack of grease and the bearings stop rolling so that one side is destroyed while the other side looks pretty good.

Whelp I called the local brillion/landoll rep and he told me to go to the local John Deere dealership. I gave them the original part number and they went back to the computer and said they could get them. I asked how much and they said $6.50 per bearing. I was kind of taken back! I ordered four of them and they should be in by Tuesday. I guess we'll see then if they are the right ones.

Doesn't sound right. Let's hope this works out. With Brillion, I have found I need to do my own due diligence because the sales people usually don't order enough parts to be fluent in them. I had to educate myself.

I heard the guy wrong. Not $6.50.... $86.50!!! ha.... So I got one instead of four.

So my problem now is I can get the felt washer for one side but not the bigger one for the other side. Looking for part number 2C981 - Felt Washer 3-3/16 in. O.D.

Any idea where to find one or a some sort of workaround?

Just google "brillion 2C981" and you'll find a couple sources.

Found another source for the felt washer. Now I just need to find time to put it back together.
