Not sure why you would want to buy expensive tool to use maybe 2-3 time in lifetime when "master links" are cheap and used in thousands of applications over many many many years without a problem....
I don't know what you were doing, but I have raced cross country and trail road dirt bikes almost weekly for 45 years and never once had a master link clip come off, or wear and break. In addition I probably have in excess of a million miles on road bikes and never had a problem with the master link. I have indeed experienced a few (very few) chain drive failures, but it was never due to the master link.Back when I was motorcycle racing we would do it all the time. The metal clip on the master link would wear and break. Nothing like being miles from your truck doing a hare scramble and having to push your bike back because your master link filed. I don't see anything that should rub on the master and I have the clip on the opposite side as the auger so I'm going to leave it.
