Broke my @#$% Window!

The window broke because of the implement, not the top link. It was just operator error which happens to all of us.

i just looked again.. unless i'm on my head, and to my diction, looks like it's opening from the bottom. like the bottom of the glass is open is what i meant so that if the top opened it would not project to compromise the needed distance. it's like biweekly i guess.. is that twice a week or once every two weeks.. i was ambiguous sorry..

I'll remember this and say "hinged" on the top as in specifing a door.

Well I finally got everything back together. Total cost of new back glass...$411.13. Not as bad as I thought. Thanks to the insurance I have, it'll only cost $200.00....I guess. I called today to give the insurance people all the info and they said they'd cut me a check and send it right out.
I put the glass in myself. Wasn't hard at all, but those dang clear plastic plugs for the rear wiper holes were **** to get back in. I almost broke 2 of the 3.
Anyway, Just touching back up on the issue.
Thanks again to everybody's reply's. Hopefully, this want happen again. To me or anyone else.

Part of it is enginering and part is small tractors don`t have alot of extra room for clearances but 3 point should not be able to hit fenders or windows . As bandit 67 said , I had a DX24E and with a CIH tiller on the third arm bent fender .I used to work on a farm and tied a rope for a door release mechanisim on a rock picker to a strut holding the rear window open on a 7410 mfwd (100 hp) JD. Ran 3 days that way , no problem . next day a different operator turned too short and caught the rope on the rear tire breaking the window . Dealer warrantied the window , he claimed hinges where loose and vibrating on the road.

Except for a little extra ventilation, why do you need a window that opens?

So you can open it to see out when it's dirty! Esp with a hoe or winch it's good to see clearly. 'Course NO window is clearer than any glass.

Newred, Thats a funny rig you had setup.
As said before, I had the window open to be able to stick my arm out and flip the valve on my sprayer. So far, that has been the only time I had to open the window. It's good that NH designed it to open. You never know why you might need it for something.
I was just happy to see that it was only $411! I was expecting more.
