Broken again, loosing faith

Today, the FEL lever broke, I have curl but no dump. On top of that, I still have a slight hydraulic fluid leak (which I remember after each time I park on my paved driveway), no temp. gauge and the FEL lock is broken.

Hey Ken, have a look at your quickconnects under the floor board. I have hooked mine on a branch before and partially unplugged one. Did the same thing as yours, except on the boom cyls.

My CK30hst has been great with only one minor warranty issue in 7 years and 400 plus hours. Sorry to hear that yours seems to be a lemon.

From the sounds of it you did get a lemon. But with you also noticing that it lacks the capacities you need i would see this as a good opportunity to upgrade to a larger, less problematic tractor. :2cents:

I would contact my dealer and ask to trade for a new tractor. Your dealer, together with Kioti might make this happen for you. Otherwise, I would be looking at a JD. Life is too short, put this ugly chapter behind you.

That is not always a good option.
My neighbor, who bought a brand new 55HP John Deere had a real problem with hers, they ended up splitting the tractor to fix it, she only had it for a few months. ALL brands can have a problem(a) and it's not limited to tractors. :)
As others have suggested, talk to your dealer about a bigger tractor.
I have been very happy with my CK35 and feel for you, it is a bummer when you have so many problems.

Maybe the problems ARE indications that the tractor is too small for your needs.

I'm with this logic. Though I've mostly heard good things about the CK series they are limited by HP and material strength to their max capacity to get certain heavy duty tasks accomplished.
If you go to say a DK-40 you will not exceed your ability to get most any task accomplished. I had a DK-35, my first tractor, and it was great but I kept pushing it beyond its limit and bending FEL parts. I worked a deal with my original selling dealer and it cost me a bunch of $, BUT I'm SO much happier with the DK-40 I have now. One extra cylinder, huge jump in loader capacity, and beefier rear end.

Kill 'Satan'* and go up in capacity. Your current dealer is going to give you the best deal he can and you'll probably save by not going back to green.
Plus you can keep your username!:D

* borrowed the name Satan from a TBN poster who had huge problems with a lawnmower in the Scag owners forum....

Ken I feel your pain, I would not even trust orange paint let alone Kioti. If you keep your machine I would be talking to your rep about a full extented warranty or I would dump it for any color but orange. Well what ever you decide, good luck!

I apologize for forum hopping, but started doing the "todays posts" thing after seeing you refer to it.

This place would be pretty boring if we all stuck to our own little corners. I'm glad you chimed in and you're using "todays posts", it makes TBN more fun.

The first thing I did was jump down and make sure hydraulic fluid wasn't spewing everywhere. After that I checked all the quick connects and they were all fine. I got back on and realized I still had the curl function (so the plumbing is fine) and the lever is flopped over to the right. Something broke in the control module.

I agree COMPLETELY!

I always hang in the "today's posts"... I meet the best people.

Sorry you are having such a terrible time with your tractor Ken...
