Broken again, loosing faith

Sounds frustrating. A lot of the issues you have had seem like little things that I would not fret about but the steering issue and hst concerns certainly scare me.

It sounds like you have lost confidence,and I probably would too. I'd trade for a different tractor, Kioti or otherwise.

It's interesting to read about this because I've had some problems with my Ck30 but they've almost all been caused by me using it like a DK45. I worry in the long run I may have bought too small and will hurt it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to get on the horn in the next hour when my dealer opens and have a little chat. I feel I have two conflicting issues banging around my head.

1) As the title says, I'm doubting Kioti as a brand.

2) I'd like a bigger tractor and I'm thinking of seeing what he'll do if I offer up my CK30hst, cab (obviously), and Woods bh for a DK50hst cab. I'm not sure how much inventory he has in the one year old range (which would be the same as my CK30), but I'm hoping my bh might be enough to make the upgrade, I really don't use it that much anymore, but I would miss it. I guess it all depends how they value my Kioti dealer installed cab.

In the CUT segment, my dealer used to sell Landini, but now that Landini is a more expensive blue Kioti with half the warranty, my dealer brought in LS since they use to make CUTs for Landini. I'm not sure about LS, there was no local dealer when I bought, so I didn't look at them (now there's 2 including my dealer)

So, if I stick with my dealer and try and work on a trade, I've got LS, which I know nothing about, and Kioti, which I'm loosing faith in. I do keep up with a lot of the other colours, and to be compatible to a DK45/50 for features, specs and capabilities, I'd be into one of the bigger Grand L's or 4000 series JDs, and would have to cough up a big chunk of cash to get there. Lots of other options of course, I just don't feel like shelling out again, I just did that in my mind.

Ya, you're right, it's mostly been small stuff. This is also the only problem that really affected me being able to use the tractor, although I was too busy just to park it when the FEL went, so I through the box blade on and did what I could. Even the hst replacement was scheduled for when I could give the tractor up for a while.

We're going to wait for a more convenient time for him to haul it up to the shop to re-split it and fix the hydraulic leak, which is very small.

He's pricing out a new DK50 cab for me. I offered up my bh as the price of the upgrade. I think I'd use the capabilities of the bigger tractor more than I use my bh, so it's probably a good choice. I can rent a mini ex for anything that comes up.

I agree with a few of the others. That tractor has been too much of a headache and see if the dealer will work with you on a different unit. I would be hard pressed to go green, the $$$ difference is huge and front driveline problems scared me away when I was shopping. The Kubota's were my other choice. Your dealer sounds like a good one, I would keep him/her myself. That is the main reason I am not in a Kubota, no faith in my local dealer. CJ

This sucks Ken. The only positive of you owning a kioti is that you have met all us nice guys over here on the Kioti forum. . Still, a major PITA for you. I can't believe you have hung in this long. Keep us posted and good luck.

I feel for you... but to make you a little happy I will tell you about my friend that bought one of the first Mini CooperS convertibles in Eastern Canada - he had it in the shop a total of 52 times over a 5 year period. That is averaging almost once a month for repairs...

It was a new design and needed the 'bugs" worked out. The dealer did go to bat for him and he switched brands within the dealership when he purchased new this year.

Hopefully your dealer will come through for you.

If you truly want to save money and trade up I'd strongly suggest a DK-40 or 45, instead of a 50. Its the same drivetrain and engine throughout from the 40-50, just bored out, and big $ extra for nominal HP increase. AND they're ALL four cylinder engines. With the cab and AC, etc. you could use some of the available HP for those items, so you could spring for a 45 if absolutely necessary.
I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed by any of the DK's, from 40 on up!:thumbsup:
Don't go green! Don't do Landini. I'm not knocking their equipment; I am however saying YOUR best deal will be through Kioti because that is what you have to trade and your dealer will take care of you as he has to date. I'm certain he wants you to be a satisfied customer instead of a frustrated owner of a incorrectly sized tractor. You've got a fantastic dealer, keep him and forget your CK tractor experience. There is NO comparison between the two series, especially if the tractor is underpowered for your needs.
Everyone who has a DK-40 will tell you it is the sweet spot of the Kioti line up.

Note: I have NO alliance with Kioti whatsoever - However, I am the satisfied owner of my second DK series of their tractors, and have racked up over 800 hours of blood sweat and tears doing everything imaginable with the list of attachments shown in my signature.

BTW, I like your thoughts on using the equity in your BH to allow you to move-up into the DK series. Go for it!!:thumbsup:

Interesting that you all recommend trading in your old Kioti for newer models. My local Kioti dealer told me to sell it on my own, cz he wasn't interested in trades.

Some dealers don't want to resell customer's used equipment because its harder, they say, to sell used for close to new prices with no warranty, etc.
And there is no potential conflict, and possible benefits for you selling your old tractor regarding more $ in your pocket. And your dealer knows you know tractors, I assume, so there is really no upside to selling your tractor- for him at least.
And, for me at least, I already did what I'm recommending to the OP - I traded up from an inappropriately sized/equipped Kioti to a properly sized one and am now a happy customer.

I really want to see a positive outcome for the OP, and I believe his best option money-wise and tractor wise is to stay with Kioti and let them make things right in his next tractor,
