I agree, away from tractor, you'd either be white as a ghost or black as the asphalt depending an what you were trying to sweep if it were turning toward the machine. Wondering tho, how are those casters going to work while going backward, they'll be into the broom......Mike

good point re: the caster wheels.

the video he posted shows it in operation; maybe it's meant for just those slower warm weather jobs (not for snow clean up)

Looking at the first picture I would assume (putting the ass before "u" and "me") that the blade is to angle and plow the bulk of the snow to one side and that the broom is to angle and sweep the residual snow off the road surface. Hopefully, the deflector between the brush and tractor will keep the snow, slush, and debris low. If the surface is cobblestone, the broom may clean well, however, I do not see any skid shoes or other means to "float" the blade over irregular cobblestones. Is that a rubber edge on the trip-edge plow?

surface is flat. bricks (actually how you call them ? see pic) at yard and concrete / cement road down to house. Then I prefer to clean a little stretch of municipal asphalt either. As we live on a street with very low traffic, municipal cleaner have our street in third priority list

Edge of plow is special wear resistant polyurethane. Finns are claiming that FEL in floating will do the job just fine

But yeah, idea is like you described - not to be very aggressive with plow. In case of little, fresh, light snow even not to use plow, just broom

Perhaps you will get a late snowstorm and have a chance to play with your new toy. There will be a learning process, and you will probably discover the most effective methods to clear snow through trial and error.

Do not be too concerned about the exact English word, especially concerning building materials where the same term means different things to different people. "Bricks" is correct; you could also use "paving bricks" or "pavers". (Further explanation has the potential to be unending.)

@Helogabals ;
Nice setup! I would certainly not want the snow or material blowing towards the tractor. For snow it would seem to me that it would work better going in reverse, brushing away from you. I don't have a broom, but have considered one for my snow plowing business.

The plastic plow edges can be a great choice for quiet and damage free plowing. Some of my customers don't want scratch marks on their pavement, so last year I switched to front and rear UHMW Polyethylene plow edges.

If the broom rotation is somewhat slow it might not throw snow very much,
if it's angled and rotating at a moderate speed it may do fine and not throw a lot in the air.
If I push snow with a broom it does fly much.
I would like to see it in operation.

This walk behind isn't raising a big cloud as it's turning fairly slow;

There are others who have the broom spinning quite fast and they are making quite a snow storm.
