Rotary Cutter Brush hog ID help

I got a deal (right) on a 6 foot cutter but need some help identifying it to start the refurb process. No stampings of numbers seen, no decals of any identification value, some safety ones on top, front right. RK's King Kutter said "not ours", working with Howse, maybe them. Attaching two pics, one of gearbox close-up, other of whole machine. Note: the previous owner was quick to modify, not always high standard...

Dont know hard to say Howse did use square tubeing like that one on some models of there hogs . BTW the gearbox to me looks like a 40 hp" OMNI" vintage brand .
