My question is for buckets that have the QA brackets to them(skid steer). Do they all have the same degree of slant on them? Or can they be bought with more or less of a degre of tilt?
I ask because I just converted to a QA adapter. And now the bucket has almost no curl at the lowest setting. It has to be up several feet before it is curled like it used to be.I wish i had know of this and could have made some more slope when I welded the brackest onto the bucket.

Are there any adjustments on your adapter? I know that the SSQA that I bought has several positions to place the loader arm pins into.
As far as the angle of the plate, I can't say for sure but I thought that was a universal standard. I'm sure that someone will come along with the correct information for you.

Sadly no other holes to use. And there is a horizontal brace thats welded between the two plates(loader end) that come back and bottom out ont he loader frame. The original ddnt have this so close and would allow some more roll back.
After reading a little more here some have suggested in another thread ,to add onto the bucket lip.I dont think id gain much that way.It does seem to be a standard on the angle of the plates on the buckets.
Also,im thinking maybe a new 'low profile' nuckt ight give me that added lip legnth. But im concerned with the load being so far out with these types of buckets(low profile).
When I made my forks, it didnt seem right that the plates would sit level at rest. this wouldnt give you any tilt back on the forks at lower grab.I ended up putting a 4x4 behind them to allow for some tilt of the forks when lowered. Even the pictures of the manufactured ones look straight.I might have to live with it.. thanks for the input.

What I did tonight was pull the release levers, and tried to see how much more roll could be had if the main pins were outside the slot on the bottom of the bucket.Im considering adding another slot to the bottom and making a wide tapered wood shim for the bucket bracket to the plate on the loader fram part.
Anyways with the pins outside the QA plate shoe , It gave a small amount more of roll to the bucket.Just this small amount might put it back to what I had before I got the QA adapter. If I do this adjustment I will make some pics.
I can see where and adjustable plate on the bucket could be handy...

Skid steer buckets are not the best scenario for tractor FEL. These buckets, especially the lo-pro style, are longer in the bucket bottom thus moving the cutting edge farther out front and reducing the tilt breakout force. Plus SS buckets are made much heavier duty & weigh more, so they reduce your net load lift capacity.
What tractor laoder do you have? and what QA adapter did you get? If everything was setup correctly at same dimensions from loader pivot to cylinder pivot you should have the same angle, only difference would be bucket moved forward width of the adapter plate.
