My loader bucket is the round-back type with holes for fastening a tooth bar. While the tooth bars are available from a dealer, I wondered where I might find individual bolt-on teeth similar to those that fit a backhoe bucket; that is, having the correct distance from the front of the bucket leading edge to the bolt hole.

Has anyone set things up this way?

Thanks

Usually a cutting edge is "drilled" for the tooth adapter. There are industry standards that use 2 holes per tooth and if your cutting edge is not already drilled, your better off with a tooth bar. These only require a hole in each side plate of the bucket. The cutting edge is hardened and does not drill well. Any heavy equipment dealer will have these adapters (also lonown as tooth "shanks") and then you'll need the wear parts or the actual "tooth" that pin on in one of various styles to the "shank" or "adapter". A Bobcat dealer should have them also. This set up is not intended to switch back & forth. On a smaller lighter (tractor) bucket, I think a bolt on tooth bar provides a little extra stregnth with the extra plate that the teeth are welded to and pulling it off is a 5 min. job.
How to select the right Bucket Teeth for your equipment and application the first thing I found on a google search.

I have the same bucket with bolt on reversible edge. Im considering just removing it to attach the typical tooth bar.
Do you see an advantage to the individual teeth?

C4Ranch, two of my loaders have the same bucket setup but are of different widths. I thought that I could use the separate teeth on either bucket. Also, the number and spacing can be varied although I don't know how important that might be.

Bobcat Bucket Teeth

Thats what I used. The cheap ones.

I didnt want a 2-piece tooth. Too much $$$ and its just a small CUT anyway. Not like I am wearing them out every year...
