That is just too cool. What is the bag inflated with? Would one have to have an onboard air compressor?
BTW, I've met some great people from S.A. How are things down that way these days? John

What is the bag inflated with?

Since you get an exhaust extension in the kit, it sounds like it uses your exhaust!

It seems to work off the vehicles exhaust . I have requested further info from the manufactures.

I have concerns that it will stress the engine will wait for info

All ok for the moment in SA Jobs needed though!!!!

It shouldnt strain on the exhaust as its not a dead stop like in a plugged tail pipe. Some of my friends that build boat houses and docks have and inflatable Zodiac boat that they bout from a Govt. auction. Its got an adapter to hook into the tail pipe and inflates the boat. They have also used the boat to lift up a 2500 pound shed to bak a skid trailer under it. All and engine is really a big air compressor.

Yep that is true: engine is big compressor.

those bags are great, we used them in Air Force for lifintg damaged air craft that had landing gear problems, worked pretty well all you need is a few PSI to lift tons of wieght! we had to TEST inflate ours every so often and they were stored in a semi trailer which we had all the liftin gslings and such in too. so we would lift the semi trailer a bit to TEST them... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

they are also used by fire & rescue depts all over... to lift cars rucks ect. often used to help right a tipped over semi truck... of corse the size inflated all depends on the bag size too... small to large ours were somethign like 4'x4'x4' when fully inflated if I'm remembering right... dry weight was WAY up like 200 lbs or soemthign. took 2 people to drag them around. (when I say DRAG I mean lift and move onto a cart and then set into postion as any abrasions can casue a rupture and a blow out on them will cause major problem if the item is lifted and then pops a bag!!! it will fall pretty quick... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

If these frames and axles are strong enough to carry a house why would one assume they aren't capable of handling a tractor weighting tons less than the home?

My goodness if I can't haul my tractor on a 20 ton trailer what capacity do I need - something like 60,000 pounds?

I never had problems with my tires/wheels but I had a heck of a time finding the little blocks that were used by the lug bolts to hold the wheel on.
I have a 3 pound coffee can about one third full of them.

MikePA: Fixed another incorrectly formated post.
