I finished this up a couple of weeks ago. It is 6ftx8ft and built on 6x6's. The bugs were biting but I got her done. Built it all out of PT wood and a metal roof. Should last till my grandkids are old enough to deer hunt. Sure better than the 3 2x4's I used to stand on .....The finishing touch was hanging the gunrack in there.

Looks like you even personalized it with your own blood!!!!

Congrats, it looks like it belongs there.

Good looking stand and location. Also good time to build it. Built one at the end of summer in Texas. Yes it was hot.

That's what I would call a "Condo". Extra sturdy.

If I could make a suggestion, fasten some 1x10's or even better some 1X12's in the openings of your shooting windows. Make a shelf/table top to lay your rifle on when you're shooting. You'll be amzed how much steadier you are when using it compared to just the 2X4 under the forend. Put some old carpet on it to make it soft and quiet. Put you some overhead shelves to hold your water bottles, heaters, extra propane bottles, flashlights etc. Are you going to put some awnings over the windows to keep most of the rain out and block the sun? Carpet on the floor (to dampen sound) and a couple of swivel chairs with arms would finish it off perfectly.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have about a 14" overhang on the roof on all sides so that will help with the weather. I may velcro clear plastic on the openings but haven't decided whatto use yet...

Nice, I like it. I plan on building one and move my two ladder stands to different locations.

Having never hunted from something like this, does firing off a 30/06 in there make your ears ring just a little?
