teg = you bet, and think I can tighten it a bit more!

I bet you can if not done right the first time.

That is absolutely the wrong way to adjust the pressure on that type relief valve.

You should insert the correct shims and torque the hex plug to the specified ft lbs and then don't mess with it.

I would have to imagine there are a certain number of L series out there that have a hex bolt improperly torqued, thus reducing loader performance. IMO it is worth checking the possibility before committing to adding/ swapping washers .02

Thanks, yea, you got extra room... mine's a bit tight (especially after installing my extra spool).

J_J, I guess I'll tighten her down and see what she reads... Dealers are not going to "play with shims" to get it right. I'm guessing most of them do the final adjusting with tightening it up until it reads a target psi. I assume none of them torque to a certain number.
