My neighbor and I are building a bunkhouse out of part of one of his old sheds. The grandsons and I will use it to hang out on our weekend hunts at the farm (my Mother's house has been sold so we needed a new plan). Things are coming along nicely.

I am looking for a good alternative for Hot Water. Electricity to the cabin is limited a bit, and we plan to install a small mini-split for heating and cooling. If I go electric hot water then the pull may be too much.

What do you know of small Tankless Hot Water systems running off propane, and specifically off a 100 lb or 20 lb propane tank? I see them available but need some assurance it is a good plan.

Thanks for your help

I have a 12' x 16' shed on my property that we put a stack washer/dryer in we use a propane shower heater to heat water going into the washer. A little slow but it works. 20 lb. tank works for 15 to 20 loads

When I was in South Africa, they had a 20 gallon propane tank on the bathroom with an on demand hot water heater that worked fantastic!!!
