Callin the sheriff tommorrow. Filing the report and let the cards fall. I may have an idea for a Game cam. About 70ft away but it may be an indication of at least the sizing up of the foe.

Hide the game cam well or put it facing on angle up high going down.They(low-lifes) might steal that to.

Just don't do anything that could hurt them. They could sue and then own your barn even though they were breaking in. If you have power then I would set up a motion detector to an alarm (since they could be doing this during the day). It's a little pricey but I bought one of these and it works great.

First let me start by saying I HATE THIEVES! If it were my place I would act like I was away and wait in the barn for the thief to come along and greet them with a 12 gauge.

I like this story, it comes from my Mom (I think)...

Somewhere in northern Maine I farmer was getting his firewood stolen. So he drilled a hole in a couple logs and filled them with black powder or a stick of dynamite then plugged the hole with glue and wood chips. He marked them so he would know which not to use.....

A couple days later his neighbors kitchen blew up. He never had any wood stolen again.

I wish we could deal with all thieves this way.

Ok. After a few adult beverages I have decided to first insure. Then, rig a DC electric fence over a 20ft area supplied from TSC. Accompanied with a game cam positioned outside in a nearby tree with infared lights. From this point, I should yeild a good YouTube video at the least. The friendly retired woman next door should provide power for the security cam for a couple weeks via a extension cord. If the extension cord, computer, infared cam and video survive..... we should have video of the Perp. Never intended to have such an elaborate setup but slamming scum will perhaps make it worth it.

Restore power and leave plenty of copper for your friend to collect.

Hook the fence charger to the metal of the door/wall. Wake them up when they try to get in.

I love the firewood story!

Contacting the sherriff is a good plan, even if they don't do much you at least have setup a trail so if the perps get caught someplace doing the same thing they may get multiple charges laid.

Post signs that say "property under video surveillance" And even if you have to use a battery if you can't get power from next door, set up motion sensor lights. The trick is to make your place less easy to rob than another.

I'd love to shoot the xxxxxx'ards but you will just get into trouble more than you'd want.

On the other hand, if you could practice the 3 s's! Ha ha ha ha
