First let me start by saying I HATE THIEVES!

Somewhere in northern Maine I farmer was getting his firewood stolen. So he drilled a hole in a couple logs and filled them with black powder or a stick of dynamite then plugged the hole with glue and wood chips. He marked them so he would know which not to use.....

A couple days later his neighbors kitchen blew up. He never had any wood stolen again.


I wish we could deal with all thieves this way.

I would post no trespassing signs also. That is just one less loophole that they can use as a defense if caught in the act. It may also help to protect you in court if something worse goes down after that.

States vary so much with a right to protect life and property. Some states, you must flee your home if an intruder enters. Here in Texas, they are "bought and paid for" so to speak. It applies to other property as well.

Check into your states laws and see where you stand. Protecting your property is a given right. Just be sure you are within yours when you take action. I hope everything works out for you. Like most folks here, I'd give someone the shirt off my back if the needed it. I just can't stand a thief.

Put a bucket of colored water over all the windows and doors and a trip wire.
They get colored...
Then the neighbor can call the cops...

There is an inexpensive alarm that uses a 12 ga. blank. They cost about $30 ea. They are a spring loaded device that hold the blank. A trip wire is attached to the device and the device is secreted nearboy. One on each entrance wire with a military trip wire, or a piece of mig wire. The key here is to use 12 ga blanks. The 12 ga blanks are readily available, as they are use to keep geese away in our area.

You might want to leave a roll of toilet paper around though.

Has no flash, night pics are black and white, day pics are color. Under 200$ and has other uses if your a hunter or you have some friends that hunt.
Put it inside the barn over the door they use to enter. If you have pictures of them in the barn the prosectution will be that much easier.
Do not tell the retired woman next door about it. It could be a friend or relative of hers that she does not know about.
I'm not accusing her of anything but she doesn't need to know.

I like the 12gauge idea but my first port of call would be to join the remaining wire to the an electric fence energizer they may just get the idea that you restored the electricity :thumbsup:

Get some of the dye that they put in diesel fuel and use that as a colorant.

If you know they're driving in make some nail strips 1x3s with 16p nails. Hide them in several different places in the driveway, then locate trail cams to catch the perps and front and rear views of vehicle. Should be good for a laugh too! Optional post on you tube!!
