Burning trash

I take ALL metal to the scrap yard for $$$. The plastic bottles, bags, etc. get recycled as does all newspaper, junk mail, magazines, corogated cardboard, and glass. Food stuffs get recycled except meat and bones which I do burn with whatever paper cannot be recycled in a 55 gallon drum. As a family of 3, we generate 1 bag of garbage about every 3 weeks, make a trip to recycling once a month, and a trip to the scrap yard twice a year, earning around $100. Garbage haulers around here charge over $100 per quarter, so I've made an arrangement to chip in towards the garbage bill of one of my neighbors for my occasional bag.
