Rotary Cutter Bush Hog cutter issue. Help!

Had no idea but makes total sense. This will sound funny but my grandfather always greased the pto and coupler so I have done the same. Seems totally stupid now that this issue has came up. Lol

Your grandfather probably used it 3 times as much keeping it from hardening up as well! :laughing:

I had a coupler that hadn't been used in decades. It hung up about the same place yours is hanging. I couldn't see any definite obstruction among the spline slots so I fook a file and worked on places where I thought there 'might' be obstructions. It finally went on and I still don't know which spot where I filed did the trick.

I had an old cutaway harrow when my grandfather was in the way out. Dementia must have been taking over when he took his oil can, filled with used motor oil, and proceed dribble it all over the part of the tongue I had to handle to hook up. There was no moving part on that section of the tongue. I can see him now, flexing the bottom of the can and grinning like a possum. Used motor oil is nasty stuff.
