in southeast texas the stump jumper is the disc the blades are bolted to.
I've never heard a BSM called a rotary cutter...I would have thought your sawmill was your favorite "rotary cutter".
Doesn't the engine turn the blade by rotating a drive wheel?I've never heard a BSM called a rotary cutter...
These days, I use my rotary cutter a lot more than my BSM.

???????Who cares....life is too short.
And if the crescent wrench strips off a bolt....sometimes you need a sawzall. But that's why I like Allen wrenches/bolts. Can't bugger them with a Crescent wrench. Channel locks maybe?
LD1 made a clever sentence with tools brand names instead of actual names and I understood every single bit of it and that prove his point.???????

I got the part about the different tool names, but I guess I have never had anyone ask me for an adjustable wrench or a reciprocating saw or hex head socket or slip joint pliers, just used to the slang terms I guess, but I think most people are.LD1 made a clever sentence with tools brand names instead of actual names and I understood every single bit of it and that prove his point.
Oh... I think we ALL did.Somebody got it![]()
The mark of a good brand name is that it becomes used as a generic name for the kind of product it is. Bush Hog has achieved that. So has Kleenex, and, to a lesser extent, Coke, Frigidaire, Bendix and a few other brands.I know I'm being picky but I have an issue with folks calling a rotary mower a Bush Hog. Bush Hog is a brand name just as John Deere, Ford, Dodge, etc.
Home - Bush Hog This is the Bush Hog website note they even call them rotary cutters. I know it may be a hard habit to break but could we learn to call them rotary cutters unless of course you are referring to the Bush Hog brand.
