Thanks for the feedback. Just as an aside, I found that dollies made from pallets and casters makes a great way to organize your toys efficiently and move them into position for hook-up easily, since you are putting your stuff together.

mine lives outside, no tarp. i keep the PTO bungied up off the ground and sometimes it gets a pallet spot, other times it just sits on the ground.

Useful thread. Last year mine took up floor space, so this year I took this to heart. Had to remove the driveshaft and some of the frame but all set.

Mine lives parked under a lean-to. 4x4 scraps under the front to keep the "skids" up off the ground.

After the last use of the summer, greased well and the PTO shaft pulled apart. Hog half greased and bungeed up out of the way, tractor half hung on the wall in the barn.

That way I have to reassemble it and know it slides properly in the Spring and don't wind up with a bound-up PTO shaft.

Using traps usually speeds up the rust process as the object that is covered doesn't get enough air to dry out and gets a lot of built up moisture from the ground.

I agree. it does save sun damage on paint, but makes up for it with rust.
