I'm freaking out I will miss something after the drywall is installed?

At least it's just sheetrock and easy enough to remove if you do realize that you want to change something or that you forgot something. Most of the time, it's an outlet. Either you wanted it someplace, meant to say something, got sidetracked and forgot, or you just didn't realize how handy it would be there, but never thought of it.

One time I had a crew come in and had one of them decide he was a funny guy by mudding completely over a few of my outlets boxes and one of my light switches. Since they were empty boxes with the wire wrapped up in them, he really had to put some mud into those boxes to make them disappear like that.

I did some drainage trench work this week. Believe it or not that is 185' of trench. As things shape up , I ask myself why I had to bild such a huge home. It sure did not look that big on paper and even doing the foundation, the size did not seem unreasonable. Now as things are finishing out, It seems so huge!

I put together 2 of the 9 basement kitchen cabinets, and had some more work done on showers and baths and put the basement, work shop, and garage " in the pink"

Also the vinyl siding has started. The guy is being quite meticulous.

I did some trench & drain work around the uphill side of the Presby Septic System.

The drainage starts at the top o.d. the driveway's hill and runs to the back field. Their are two drain pipes. The 180' of drain pipe closest to the house are the 12" septic tubes in sand while the drainpipe along the rock ledge is 300' of 4" perforated with a sock over the tube in buried 1-1/2' stone.

5 tri-axle loads of stone (110 Tons) went into just this portion of the driveway and I figure it will need at least 3 more loads.
Attached are some photo's.

The siding sure does bring the house to life!!! Looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing how you trim out the dormers, but think I have an idea of how they will look.

How is the inside coming along? Will you be able to move in before winter? Christmas in the new home?

Eddie,

Sheet Rock is being painted. Yes I hope to be im by X-Mass!

There is a lot of work left to do with finish carpentry , electric, HV and plumbing.

I'm farting around with moving more rocks.

A thumb is sure nice to have.

It is no suspire that my little excavator has all those dents in the lower covers, but I have no good way of moving rock. Placing them in my L39痴 bucket id dangerous as one slip and I mess up the Kubota, plus 2 of these rocks do not fit and the pair most likely weighs close to 3000 Lbs

Wall building is going slow as the rocks re quite irregularly shaped.

I think it's time to replace the air filters on the excavator, almost 1400 hrs. blowing them out does not work anymore. They look expensive. I finally changed the engine oil and adjusted the tracks, dozing my pond material around the property, is real hard on the poor girl, expecially the UC.

Had to fix a blown hose on my L39 and neighbor's L3400.

See:
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/122787-l3400-hydraulic-leak-3.html

Project seems like finishing up is taking forever. Don't ever underestimate the finish work.

Some Photo's Attached.

In the forth picture, it shows an unfinished room with three windows on the wall that are installed toghether as one. I can see air gaps above the widows. Is this an illusion? or am I seeing it right?

How did or will you make this air and water tight?

Fooled you! That is reflection. That is the foil tape used to seal the edge of the window frame to the headers and studs. I did that before I had the home sheet rocked. Before the foil tape, I foamed amd caulked any visible gaps.

Yesterday while closing up the garage I had noticed air compression resisting closing a side door with the garage doors closed as even the garage is faitrly air tight. I was suprized at this, as the garage is stick construction and while I built the garage to latest new house code insulation wise, I did not go nuts with trying to make it super air tight like I did in the house.

I suspect you might run out of oxygen in the house, if it was not for the Heat recovery ventalators.
