Nice job on saving money on the windows. We have a Surplus Wharehouse here, and a good source for saving money on windows. The trick is finding them in the right size!!!!

I have five windows in my home. LOL

You're really moving along.

I noticed that the peak over the garage extends out to a point, but none of your other peaks carry this detail. Is this the only place that you did this?

I'm not sure about mixing your windows. It looks like you bought most of them at one time that all match, then you added one with grids that doesn't match. If it's a look you were after, I'm all for seeing if it works. I worry that the longer you live there, the more it will stand out.

Do you have metal in your valley's? What are you using for your paper on your roof?

The false dormer looks great. I really like how it adds to the other dormers and interest in your roofline.

Wraping a house that big must have been fun. I've done 2,000 to 2,200 sq foot homes by myself, but never anything like yours!!!!

Did they tap the top of windows? I can't make it out for sure, just the sides on most of them.

Thanks for the update.

Yes only the barn. Was going for the old "New England barn motiff."

Darn, you have a good eye. The windows match in the front. In the back we decided on the view vs. the grids. You may be right.

Do you have metal in your valleys?
No but before I shingle I will see what a good rain does.

I知 considering adding metal What are you using for your paper on your roof?

IKO Ice and water shield and so IKO synthetic felt paper stuff.

The false dormer looks great. I really like how it adds to the other dormers and interest in your roofline.

Thanks, it rains a lot and the garage door sill wants to stay dry, I used plastic wood for the sill, but still.

I paid big to have it done.

Yes and rolled ice and water shield there also.

Thanks for the update.

Been of the Discussion board for quite a while. Not too much has happened with our home.

The interior walls are 95 % studded out, 80% done on rough plumbing electrical and heat and the roof shingles are on.

I blew the bucket cylinder on the Komatsu, and bent the thumb cylinder wall building. Some of the rollers on the undercarriage are squeaking, and the valves are weeping more. When it is working the machine is sure handy. The L39 has a front axle leak and a problem with the front remote solenoid.
See the photos of the L39 with the pallet of rocks. The machine got aweful lifh in the rear even with over 700 Lbs of wheel weights. Also I notice I need to touch all those scratches.

My wife was out picking field rock as i stood by with a bad case of tennis elbow.

Here are some recent Photos.

My wife added a 4th stone tier to her garden. It measures about 45' x 75' ft now.

Got my excavator working hard and the wall is nearly complete, standing over 10' tall

The L39 spread 3 tri Axle loads of crushed 1" ledge pack. Darn how that stuff just disappears over a 1400 ft driveway.

Compared to some of the project on this forum, mine is a little one, but it does not seem that way to me!

Are you kidding me? Your project is enormous!!!! Almost overwhelming with everything that you have going on. I know that I'm impressed and look forward to your updates.

The rock is just beautiful. I wish that I had some here, but the only way to get it is to buy it, and the places that sell it have to truck it in here, so it's a luxury that I'll just have to do without.

The house looks kind of quiet in the background. Is there anything new there?

Vinyl Siding and Aluminum soffet/facia work ought to happen in a week or two. Fake plastic wood will be used so I don't have paint trim. On the inside, the Plumbing and electric and heat are almost all roughed in. Reminds me time to e-mail the plumber and electrician.

I will be getting the 3 of the 3 -1/2 levels of the barn insulated barn R19 to R 38 and ready for sheetrock. I'm having a self designed handicapped tile shower area done in the basement, about 75% done and just started the upstairs shower. The tubs got dragged in today for the plumber.

The biggest pain in the butt has been the two Heat recovery ventilators, which are 85% installed with ductwork, double dampeners, etc.

I'm freaking out I will miss something after the drywall is installed?
