2016 NH Workmaster 37
hello,

New to the forum. have a question for those much more educated then me with tractors. Im thinking of selling my 2016 NH Workmaster 37 which is like new with 183hrs and buy a 2003 NH TC35 or maybe a 2006 Case D40 both have about 1200-1300hrs. Im i crazy to think this?? my one reason is I HATE regen!! and dpf issues. Im familiar with diesel trucks (yes.. not the same) but the Workmaster 37 i believe is a poor design and I foresee problems in the future. any thoughts would be great thank you

personal preference, trust in seller, knowledge of tractor being sold, ability to check service history, etc... all come into play.

That being said I have seen way to many guys get ripped off buying something used that looks good, seller says runs perfect, etc..... but when it gets home it turns into a turd. Too many liars (down right scammers in some cases) out there these days.

Me, I will buy new, look after it well, and keep it as long as I can. Better the devil I know than the devil I don't.

I've bought many an old tractor. Never surprised with any of them.

I don't think it is an unreasonable idea. I have stayed away from anything that regens. I bought the 2019 WM75 as it does not have DPF, so no regens. The TC series are great tractors. I bought our TC40DA with 300 hours in 2008 for $17,500, could probably sell it for that today. Have done some minor repairs, along with the recommended maintenance. Added SSQA to the FEL.

Do you have a Yanmar dealer near by? IMHO it
would be worth you while to test thest tractors out!

WARRANTY: 10-year Limited Powertrain Warranty - YANMAR America Corporation

REBATES: Exclusive Offers | YANMAR Tractor

It seems the dealers have more tractors available now/

i do. in fact the dealer i bought the workmaster from stopped carrying NH and Mahindra and started with Yanmar. does the warranty cover emission equipment.. didnt really say in “10yr warranty”.

If your not comfortable with the 37, then yes, trade it. There is no right or wrong answer to your question. You'll figure it out.

I've owned two tractors. Both purchased, brand new, from the same dealer. Ford 1700 4WD - 1982 til 2009. Kubota M6040 4WD - 2009 thru today.

Two reasons for purchasing new - there simply aren't any used tractors, smaller than 150hp, in this neck of the woods. I don't want to purchase a used tractor with somebody else's problems.

Consequently - I've owned a tractor since 1982 and never had to worry about any type of problem. I do all my own maintenance on my tractor. So......I know the exact condition of the tractor.

Tractor ownership is not a "fun thing" or "hobby" for me. Primary use is to maintain my mile long gravel driveway - summer and winter.

Have you had issues with the engine on your work master. I know a few people who have had them and had all kinds of issues that were all corrected by taking them to a dealer that actually had good techs. Not all but many dealers just hire anyone who can turn a wrench and that isn’t good when it comes to anything with technology

What's the problem with your Workmaster? It regens all the time and you can't get any work done?
