I left the dealership not long after the BX's came out. I honestly have not seen any BX hydro failures but my exposure has been very limited. Hydrostats are very dependent on the type of use. The engine will likely outlive the hydro though but I can't put a number to it. The HST failures I've seen in B-series tractors were in very demanding high use landscape contractor use, not typically in homeowner use. Typical homeowners in my area put 50-100 hrs a year so even the abusive environment that I have seen B-series fail will still give well over 20 years of use.
