The cat 1 implements "work"on it, but hooking them up can be a pain in the you know what depending on the pin location (in or out). There is a service fix meant to remedy this, I haven't seen anything on this board yet as to whether that really helps or not. From the service bulletin it doesn't seem like it addresses the problem. (I haven't done it yet).

From the looks of the problem it appears that the 3pt arms are bent wrong. Seems dumb to have to make parts for a new tractor just so you can put implements on and off without a hassle.

I'm hoping someone will let me know how excited they were to see what an improvement the modifications made!

Cat 1 is your typical compact tractor, Cat 0 is the light duty lawn tractors. I consider the BX to be Cat .75 /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

NYTrainer, if a 2410 is what you really want then get that but I think the BX would do your work just fine. You cannot use all cat 1 implements on a BX and guess what--you cannot use all cat 1 implements on a 2410 either. Some are to large, to heavy, require more traction than available etc. There is a huge range of implements that work great on the 2410 and quite a few that work well on the BX and more coming along all the time. Back hoe on a BX, a backhoe might cost half again or more the price of the tractor! I think Kubota may intro a small back hoe for the BX that could be used also on the 7100/7500/2410 and other small 'botas. I know the 2410 can already use a backhoe but a smaller unit might be useful as even on the 2410 it seems large. On the 'bota 7548 boxblade I turned the pins in, it works great and is easy to hook up. I then tighten the sway screws up and they pull up snug agaisnt the pins and away I go. I could put one in and the other out if that would work better. I borrowed a small disc from another fellow and I hooked up to it easily--it was cat 1, about 450 lbs. Here in Kansaw I do not get that much snow but this year there was a bunch (for me) and the little BX moved it easily with the FEL and I also bust through several drifts and an ice wall at the end of the road made by a snow plow. Good luck. J

The first BX's had some problems with the configuration of the lift arms of the 3pt, however this has been fixed with this years models as well as some late ones from last years. My particular BX was a late one from last year and they work great. The only issue I worry about with the 3pt is the physical size of the implement. I moved quite a bit of snow with my BX this year, and it did just fine, loaded up the FEL and a back blade with no problems at all in spite of using turf tires on 150' of blacktop. In short, dont worry about the 3pt problems if you are buying a new BX and if used, a free upgrade is available from the dealer if the BX is still in warranty.
