Does anyone here have a list of changes from a 2230 to a 2350? One that I am particularly interested in is the 3 point hitch. I heard the 2350 has an improved 3 point. Also I have a favour to ask for my son. He would like to see a picture of the back end of a 2350 with r4's. If anyone out there has one it would be great. Thanks.

its a full CAT 1 3pt vs a limited CAT 1 - its not really a practical differnece though. Out of the hundreds of these that we have sold I've never heard anyone complain about it being a limited hitch. There are several other differences that would make me buy the new model. There is about a 10% spec bump to the engine and loader - and a lot of egronomic changes that make it much more comfortable.

Is the 3PH lever and the PTO lever still on opposite sides like on my 2200?

To me this is a safety issue--trying to use the PHD is real pain. You look over your right shoulder to see the PHD, and can reach the 3PH control.

Then when you need to stop the PTO, you have to turn around to reach the PTO.

Poor Design in my mind..................

The 3pt has been raised in the rear, so that gives you more clearance.

Other differences:
1. Lighting is much better, halogens instead of std bulbs
2. Bigger operating platform
3. Loader controls redesigned, now a 4 position is standard.
4. Transmission redesigned, much easier to add, check fluid
5. Larger FEL capacity
6. The treadle pedal is gone...two pedals now, freeing up space on the platform.
7. Standard tachometer/hour meter
8. Now has a standard Alternator instead of a dynamo...allows more lights/accessories
9. Loader mount design is better, much easier to line up for remounting.

On the old 2230, almost all of the orange parts of the tractor (fenders, hood, etc) were made out of sheet metal.

On the new 2350, all of these parts are made of high-impact plactic.

You are essentially correct. on the old models, only the engine cowling was plastic. Now the hood and rear fenders have joined the plastic crowd. The operators platform however is still steel.

I think it's the right balance. While the plastic isn't as shiny as the metal, it still looks good after minor scuffs, and if you happen to scratch it, the orange goes all the way through instead of metal showing. On my 2200 I noticed that when I sold it, there was some bubbling under the paint right where the ROPS attached to it (RUST!!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ) No worries about that anyways....
