BX 2230 vs BX 23

( The extra frame and weight on the BX23 is bolted on. If you conpare it to the Woods frame you will see that they are virtual clones. I would have no issues about putting a Woods BH on new or later. Its a very nice piece of equipment and the design considerations to seem to be top notch. I will let you know for sure in a few month since I bought a 2230 with a Woods FEL and BH. )

Why did you go with that over a BX23??

 It's more like do you want to get a superior system today and pay under $4000 for a Back hoe now
or would you rather pay up to $6000 for a back hoe on a lesser set up later?

The Woods loader was less than the Kubota loader and the BH runs about $4500 or so. I think all said and done, you can buy the 2230 with Woods gear for a few grand less than the BX23.

My BX 23 was 15500.
A BX2230 with woods hoe would have cost me at least 16300.
I don't see that as the bx 2230 being less than the BX23.

I've got a quote of $17,000 for a BX23 w/ 60" MMM.

( Interesting comment about being designed to mow with the BH and FEL attached. Ya might wanna check your mower height.

1* I know that on my BX22, the BH prevents the rockshafts (and therefore the mower deck) from fully descending, so you're cutting higher than 4" (if at all). )

1*This hasn't been an issue with mine.
Are you lowering the mower down to the set heght?
