BX 23, 3 point lift speed control knob stuck

I wanted to adjust the speed at which I lift my mid mount and the knob is frozen. Its under the right side of the seat and the shaft goes back towards the top of the axel housing. I sprayed it with liquid wrench, but still won't budge. Any ideas? Does the MM or any controls have to be in a certain position before it'll turn. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I had this same problem with my BX1800 this past Fall. I hadn't adjusted it in quite some time as it was set for my mower, but when I went to adjust for my weight box it wouldn't budge. I think I tried the liquid wrench and it didn't work so I ended up sgoing out and buying PB Blaster and spraying with that and letting it soak over night. The next day it came loose.

I was afraid I was going to twist the plastic knob off so I was patient over night. I would try the PB Blaster.

Works great!

I guess I will have to adjust more often now just to keep it free. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

That did the trick, I had some vovline sythetic liquid wrench, sprayed it and let it set, I had to usea set of robo grips to break it loose, as I was worried about the knob. She was very tight.

For what it is worth mine (BX2200) will not turn either. I gave up as I thought for sure I'd break the knob. Guess I will try what is suggested.

I suppose you've figured out by now, since you have it freed up, that the knob doesn't affect the lift speed, only the drop speed. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I found some PB Blaster last week, good stuff.
