Was thinking, I have a Bx 2360 and was thinking of trading up to a Bx 2660 other than the seat is the 2660 that much more of a difference that you would notice the extra power?I will be mowing 95% of the time and after owning the 2360 for a year now I am well pleased with its performance , heck I mow at 2300 RPM and have no problems with grass not being cut .Just thought I would throw this out to the experts and see what ya'lls opinion would be on it .I still might see if a 2660 seat would fit on my 2360:)

I really doubt you will see the power difference just mowing.

I think the 2360 is almost overpowered for a mower but like it like that. I think a 2660 should fit. I think you can get a armrest kit for the BX seats too. You should mow at PTO speed the the blades are turning the proper speed.

We have a BX2200 and BX2660, we really love the the BX2660 especially the seat, but for mowing our BX2200 is just as good. We like the BX2660 with a tiller and rotary cutter. I don't see the increase in HP worth the cost of trading up. I imagine you will decide the OEM 2660 isn't worth the cost, my wife and I have bad backs and the seat was a big selling point for us.

We use the 2660 for mowing and have Bro Tek front and rear plates with wheel spacers on the 2200 for working in the woods etc.

I've had a few BXs. Had the BX2350 for a short time and having owned some previous models of BXs knew it was "wrong" with its abrupt stop in reverse. Traded it to a BX2660 MMM FEL which some time later traded it to a BX25 (23hp FEL BH). I to liked the seat on the BX2660 and it had a "feel" like it was waiting to be turned loose to work but the BX25 seemed to rev up smoother, easier and quicker and never felt short of power.
I'm a trader but I'd never trade a BX2360 to a BX2660 unless it was an even swap or maybe a couple hundred more because of the seat or unless my BX2360 had major problems or excessive hours. I doubt you'll be satisfied trading a great tractor to a Grand tractor, to lettle difference between them to notice hardly any difference. Just my opinion from my experience. Both are great tractors.

I think the seat will fit but is quite pricey, around 800 dollars if I remember right from another thread.

I agree with TripleR. I also own both a 2200 and a 2660 and both mow equally well.

I can tell you that when it comes to blowing snow, the 2660 shears pins very easily if you use full throttle and have more than 2 inches of snow!!

I have never run out of power on my BX2360. I do run out of traction. Can't see any benefit to me for 3 more hp.
