Geesh. I suppose the next suggestion will be to buy 7000lb trailer for the BX-24 and tow it over to the boat ramp with a suburban.
You need the 3/4 ton Suburban, remember. We're really good at spending other's money. Count on that!

Didn't realize we were talking about single axle trailer on top of it all.

Honestly: Get the tires out of the soft wet sand, and I'll bet money that you'll pull it out without much trouble. I'd probablyget some 16' 2 x 12s and rig up some way to weigh them down until you get the trailer on them. And I'm quite sure that getting the tractor turned around will help.

Another thought: If you're set up to ONLY launch off your beach, would it be possible to put wider tires on the trailer? I know those things are REALLY skinny which amplifies the whole "stuck in the sand" thing. I was looking around once before and $200 can get some really wide (like 12" wide) mower tires and rims that just might fit your trailer lugs. Longshot, but there have been crazier suggestions.

Just love the idea of a marine railway. By the time you got done with the NHDES and complying with the new CSPA regs you could have bought a McMansion on the Big Lake. Seriously, go to the dump and get a couple snomo tracks for under the trailer wheels. Very cost effective = free.

When I lived in Florida, I used a couple of pieces of "marshall matting" the sheets of steel used in WW2 for airfields. Worked great!

This thread is sad. Everyone loves their tractor, I get that. But seriously, keep the Jeep and spend the $20 worth of gas per YEAR to properly launch the boat. OR, buy a cheap truck...Or put in concrete strips for launching. No matter what you do, it will cost money. Lumber, concrete, Jeep, boat, tractor, boat house, house.....face it, everything in today's crappy economy costs money. If you want the luxury of a $30k boat or a $350k lake house, it will cost a few bucks to do things right.

put fat tires on the trailer ... hey what about air tanks under the back of the trailer to make it float the boat and trailer up a little

It's not $20.00 a year for gas keeping the Jeep. Try about $5000.00 a year for gas for the Jeep (18mph). I figure if I drop to a small 4 cycl sedan (32 mpg) nearly doubling MPG) I'd save $2000.00-$3000.00 a year. That's a new tractor every 7 years !! That assumes if gas stops going up !! So if the tractor can do this ONE chore alone it pays for itself. Everything else is gravy.

AHHH......you failed to mention that the Jeep was the daily driver. Sell the Jeep for a cheap rice burner and a cheap truck. Problem solved.

Just buy an airboat and drive right up on the beach

Great idea, but I'm not sure I'd want to water ski behind an air boat :)

Retiring the Jeep to the property is on the list possibilities. But if I can get the Tractor to do it, it's one less piece of junk around and one less thing to keep in running condition. If you don't use it they tend to break (dead battery etc. things rust up).

I'm convinced I can get the tractor can do it with a little thought.
