BX choices

I have the SSQA material bucket on it now. Backhoe with 12“ bucket and a 60 inch deck. Takes up a spot in the garage, buckles the flag stone paths around home. The 54 inch deck would fit around obstacles better.
want diesel for safety and longevity.
Haven’t used it to mow since we moved here. Moved snow a couple times and move bags of stuff here to there. Old dive way was 1300 feet, new one 80. 5+ acres then, 2/3s now with many more tight places. Not gonna be running anything off the pto, sold box scraper, grader blade, snow blower, log splitter, post driver and rear pallet lift with L2250 when moving. I think I’m leaning 1880.

Your trading in a B2601 because it is to large? In what way?

Let me place the numbers side by side for you.....
Your BX is a half inch longer.
BX is 3.9" narrower.
BX is 1.9" lower at the ROPS.
BX has 4.4" less clearance under the front axle.
BX is 111 lbs lighter (bare tractor weights)
BX loader is 330 lbs less loader lift.
BX lifts 7.5" less height.
BX bucket break-out force is 620 lbs less.

Going to the BX is not saving you much at all in size, but it sure costs you a lot in performance! And when you trade that thing in, your going to want to bring a tub of Vaseline with you. You'll know what to do with that as the deal forms.

The only disadvantage to your B model over the BX is cutting the 2/3 ac. In every other scenario the B is an advantage. For 2/3 ac, I'd be looking at a dedicated ZTR that will probably cost as much as you are going to lose on a trade. If the 2/3 ac is open land (not a lot of trees and other curvy landscaping), the B should work just fine. If I had to give up my BX or my B, the BX would easily be the first to go.

I agree. The cost to trade a bit to large machine could be a bit hard to swallow but it's your money. You could keep the B and probably buy a box store riding mower for the difference you'll lose and have two machines and dedicated mowers are better for mowing than multi purpose machines. Consider maybe adding a used Kubota ZTR to yur B stable and have the best of both worlds.

Go here Kubota | Finance - Promotions & Special Offers and Build both machines and see MSRP for both machines and see how much difference it is costing you to make the trade. I know the actual sales price should be 15% to 20% less than MSRP but your just seeing the difference between machines and then allow or see how much your paying for your hours of usage of your B.
You could probably sell the Back hoe and get enough to get a decent ZTR or see if the dealer will trade a small Kubota gas ZTR for your backhoe or call Barlows and see how they will trade all combinations.
