Are you sure of that $11k price? Is that just the tractor, the tractor & loader, or the tractor, loader and backhoe? When I priced the 6000 series 2 years ago, I think the tractor alone was in the $9k-$10k range. Loader was about $2500 and backhoe around $5k-$6k. The whole package wasn't much less than my B2910, when the diesel engine and 4WD were thrown into the mix for the Kubota.

My memory ain't what it used to be, but I think my recollection of the prices is somewhere in the ballpark.

Can anyone confirm the prices on the Ingersoll?

Kevin, I think he was saying the BX was a "yard machine" and the Ingersol was a tractor. Again, the Ingersol whatever it was that I rented looked exactly like the one in the pic and was a very crude, rough, noisey machine. Yep, the loader worked fine in terms of power but was not at all smooth like the Kubota units and the backhoe--heck I had never used one of those before nor since. I was not at impressed with the "lawnmower" power plant. The thing is if these were less than a BX it might be worth looking at but they cost more I think. You know, come to think of it I am not sure it had a center PTO and it was not hydro either. J

The tractor loader version has a Cat-0 3-point hitch and has a hydraulic PTO that is used to operate serveral of the available attachments like the tiller, log splitter, chipper, rear finish mower, and a few others. The loader/backhoe verson is not designed to mow since it has no 3-point. These things have been around a long long time. They are ok if all you are doing is loader/backhoe work, a very basic machine. The BX is a much more refined machine. Last Summer I bought a used Ingersol 6000 loader tractor with a kwik way backhoe . It had 100 hours on it and I paid a little over half of what the original owner paid new for it. I would never have bought one new but since it was a good price and had a backhoe I went for it. Well, the backhoe dug quite well for the machine's size. But with no 4 wheeel drive the small loader wasn't worth much. I found that it just couldn't do the things that I wanted to do. I tried to sell it myself for a couple of months but nobody was interested so I traded it in for a new New Holland TC33D with loader and backhoe. They gave me most of what I paid for the Ingersoll towards the boomer. Now I can do more serioes projects. From what I saw the Ingersoll is a well made machine but I think it is old technology and somewhat overpriced. If you want a small hydraulic machine I would look at the power-tracs.
