So exactly how many threads are there about switching from SUDT to full synthetic? I see nothing wrong with this new thread, I for one am glad to see it. I'd like know if CaseIH Hy-Tran Ultra is compatible with SUDT but maybe I should ask CaseIH. My wife's operation buys a fair amount of it and she already uses CaseIH engine oil in the Kubota. The problem is doing a search and you usually either get a ton of hits or no hits depending on exactly what words you use. Post on dudes!

Absolutely!! These forums would be stale if every discussion ever had was not brought up at one time or another!

These forums are much more like a live, exchange chat than being a static reference of information. New members, new experiences will post things previously discussed. It is simply the nature of a real, live community of folks.

Most other forums are similar. On one such forum, the same questions get asked 6 times a day, every day. It is what it is. Not much sense in harping about the "search function".

To the OP. No doubt the top drawer UTF makers, like Chevron, provide great products. Whether those products save the tractor owners substantial money over buying their branded fluids from a dealer? I dunno. The "good stuff" just isn't cheap.

The Kubota oil, Premium UDT sounds like, but does not make it SUDT.
I've had ordered SUDT directly from the Dealer & they gave me this..that all they got...

Ran this kubota oil for about 50hrs, until I got the Chevron.
If someone can post a pic of this Kubota SUDT, love to aleast now it exist.

Richard

I'm not sure us you can still get SUDT now that there is SUDT2. I used the SUDT2 at my 400 hour. I got it in the 2.5 gallon jugs instead of the 5 gallon you show. I didn't save the empties for a picture, but here is a link where I ordered it from - scroll down to the hydraulic fluid and you can find the SUDT2 pictured.

After having my BX22 total HST failure (repair under Warranty) & finding afterward the fluid is only UDT from the dealer, my new BX24 tractor was not going into the same situation. Making everyone aware/confident that switching from the Kubota oil to another brand can be a good thing.
If this "New" tread helps anyone, it's all good; I was not trying to start WW3.
Thanks for the link GolfAd, Kubota SUDT2 does exist :)

Anytime a topic is discussed on BX, and it may have ever been discussed in the past, you are sure to get a comment from sw03....

Don't worry about it, there's many of us newer users that end up inadvertently starting a thread that has been discussed before. And it can be quite informative for those that haven't seen the previous thread. Most folks are happy to give good advice anyway, or maybe provide links to past threads.

There was an interesting thread on MMM not going into Top position a while back. Even though it turned out it had been discussed prior, there was an interesting participant in that thread that apparently hadn't seen the prior thread and didn't use the search function....:D

I agree with you. Sometimes its nice just to read or get a little more up to date info, even if it is the same.

I think this is one of the greatest forums on the Internet. I'm glad many people post their issues/info for all to see. I've bought/traded many Kubotas and see "stuff" come up that I never even though about researching.
Those that do searchs and feel good about it, leave the rest of us alone!:D We know about the search function, yes we really, really do but we want to actively discuss our "issue" or share our experience with others.
Our choice to do so and your (you know who you are) choice to search for all of your answers and I think we're all glad that you do and we're not going to tell you to quit searching and always post your questions/input or answers.
To do a search and jump in to bring it back is a choice if someone wants to do that or their choice to not do that.....their choice. Saying maybe they don't know about the search feature, well .............................that's not the way it was expressed as a form of education to the less bright.:)

In Ontario (Canada) I've been able to get Chevron product (THF 1000 in my case) at Partsource.

Good price for the 1000. Just wanted to post for any Canucks that are challenged finding Chevron product - Partsource may be able to order in what you need.
