When I bought my used BX2200 last year, I noticed that when raising the deck up, that the right side always lifted an inch or two before the left side began to raise also. I really didn't think this looked right and thought it should lift evenly. I thought that the slack on the LH deck lift link was the problem basically because of its design. A spline type of connection would be a lot better than what is there. With around 150hrs on the machine, I figured the normal use on this type of connection had done some wear on the pin and/or collar on the LH link arm.

Just got back with the new 60" deck installed on my BX23 and it acts the same way. Is this normal? Maybe it doesn't hurt anything but it looks strange and is even more noticable than the 54" was.

Mowed a few passes just to get a feel of it and it seems so much wider than the 54" on my 2200.

When I mounted my 60" MMM for the 1st time a couple weeks ago I noticed the same thing. I went through all the steps listed in the MMM owners manual to get the mower adjusted correctly and mine does the same thing when raising but when it's lowered to the cutting depth setting it's balanced out correctly, L to R and front to back. I probably had 1 1/2 hr's in getting it setup evenly per the specs.

Since the blades are balanced out when lowered to the cutting depth setting I haven't worried about it.

I noticed the same thing on mine. When in the down position, all was straight and level. But while raising, one side (I can't remember which) lifted a little sooner than the other. Just the nature of the beast. Doesn't hurt a thing.

My bx22 does the same thing. When lifting deck, the left side is higher. When mowing, it is fine.

Don't know about any one else but I am not totally thrilled about the cut I get with my 60" MMM. Maybe it's the deck or maybe it's just me. It seems to lay some types of grass over and I have to recut the same area. Blades are sharp, anyone else had this problem??

I've been saying this all along.....while most of the posts have claimed" manicured cutting with the BX" I too have been dissapointed with the cut. My previous tractor was a JD LX277 and while it had it's limitations (Dedicated lawn tractor only) it gave you a great manicured cut. Don't get me wrong I love my BX and it has been a "work-horse" but I have to agree with you about the quality of the cut...just my opinion.

I have BX2200 with 60" MMM and mulch kit. The right side lifts first and is higher in raised position. It is somewhat more level after I made adjustments. It levels when on the anti-scalp wheels. If I let the fescue get too tall, the front wheels do mash down the grass blades and I get alternating strips of differing height grass. If I cut regularly and don't allow the fescue to get too tall, then it isn't long enough for this effect to occur.
