I have seen the GC2300 in person. I've seen and actually touched the JD2010 as well at an Ag fair. I have done the highly scientific shake the ROPS on both the GC2300 and the BX2200. Seemed about the same to me.
I see on another thread (How bad was it?) that you paid 12K for a BX2200 w/ FEL and 60" MMM. Thats a great price. Around here Kubota dealers are few and two are owned by the same guy. Early this spring the biggest Kubota dealer in New England (self proclaimed) quoted me at $14.600 for a BX1800 w/ FEL and 54" deck. I was shocked at first and then outright laughed. Started to leave. They stopped me but still non-negotiable and no trade on my Toro GT with only 70 hours on it. Just recently I met the owner in a social setting. He said his dealer would not honor warranties on Out of state purchases ie Carvers. There is a dealer 200 miles away in Barre VT who sells lower than Carver's even. The guy I met socially said he wouldn't honor a purchase from there either.

So the GC at 3K less is looking pretty good to me.

For that HUGE difference in price you could afford to ship the tractor back and forth to Carver's a couple times to have warranty issues resolved. Sounds like another wonderful franchisee. Insist on 4k more than other dealerships (including the sales tax thing) and then get mad when people go elsewhere.....geeeeez!!!

Sure! If that is the price difference you are experiencing,... knock yourself out. But if you look at the price sheet in Kubota buying (search it up,.. it's pretty cool), you'll find that my price was pretty average. Sounds like you have an unfriendly dealer (pricing wise).

There is competition in the BX2200/JD2210/GC2300/Kioti??? market.

For the BX22 however, there is no competition for now!!.

Even the smallest TC tractor, the TC18, is somewhat larger than the BX22/BX2200. For lack of better phrases, the TC series are Compact tractors. The BX tractors are sub-compact.

Yeah, what he said. Actually the tracor is kind of a paradox, it has 1,200# three point lift capacity, but not enough HP to do anything with larger implements. It is nice to not have to move lift pins etc. around. In anycase I am enjoying mine so far. Of course they came out with the TC24 after I had already bought mine.
